Who we are

Arete Ventures LLC is a Virginia limited liability company based in Glen Allen, VA. We build and publish a small number of consumer mobile apps. That is the whole business.

We are deliberately small and we ship slowly. Every app listed below is owned and published by Arete Ventures LLC — the same entity named in our privacy policies, in our App Store and Google Play developer accounts, and on this domain.

What we build

None of these has been released yet. We would rather say that plainly than dress up a waiting list.

How we handle your data

One of our apps, Symptom Kids, is built for parents tracking a child's symptoms. Health information about a child is about as sensitive as consumer data gets, so the commitments we make about it are written down and linked from every page rather than buried in a settings screen.

  • Our privacy policy names Arete Ventures LLC as the controlling entity.
  • Symptom Kids has a separateconsumer health data policy, as Washington's My Health My Data Act requires.
  • You can request deletion of your datawithout installing an app or signing in to anything.
  • This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third-party server.
